The so-called "Ministry of the Housing Crisis" is a former squat of an unoccupied bank, later bought back by the Paris Municipality. 3 associations (Macaq, Jeudi Noir and DAL) are installed in the building since January and are coordinating the camp on its sidewalk. It proved an invaluable haven to store blankets and food, organize meetings, offering basic facilities for cooking and cleaning, and a refuge during the worst weather and some police interventions.
